That's only half right, I would rather them have not been stupid enough to help develop a game that will end up on a competing console. 

The development help that MS is offering is limited to Xbox hardware specific expertise (aka optimizing the game for X1 and 360) anyway, so essentially MS is helping to make the game look and perform better on Xbox, that's it.
