Frankenstein: The Monster Returns.
I didn't know anything about this game until seeing the Angry Video Game Nerd trash it. Looked up other reviews online and saw that others equally panned it as well, calling it something Bandai should be/is ashamed of. Even so, it looked good to me, so my wife got me a copy off Amazon. I played it and enjoy it very much. Yes, some parts are difficult, but this is an NES era game we're talking about. It had nice graphics, cut scenes, npc's to interact with and obtain items from, a variety of weapons, boss characters that taunt you with dialogue before battle, wall-climbing, and foreground images that you would pass behind in front of the background which I can't remember many NES era games utilizing.
