I didn't read everything.... but my opinion has change since the launch... back in 2006 I would have said mid /end 2011.... but looking at the situation it will probably last longer.... with the hardware problem/cost they had.. they need a longer lifespan to hope to break even or something..... on top of that... they might be third and as long as Sony is not coming up with something new... they might choose to turn profit longer then.....
that's where I think sony is in trouble actually... whatever they end up doing this gen... why??? either they'll stay third which means MS will be more or less in control on their target market for next gen.... or PS 3 keeps doing better and better than the 360 and MS will release a new console earlier....
we'll see... it's kind of hard to say.... wait for E 3 lol.. maybe even E 3 2010.... but if you want games now... go for it..... if you don't care about waiting... wait until the end of the gen and buy a used one for cheap then..... it's all up to you....
