Cons: Why buy both? = loss in sales

There could be certain incentives to buy both, perhaps their are minor differences in the game depending on what device u play it on or maybe extra features when linking both devices together.

Perhaps u prefer playing certain games on a portable, something like Pokémon or Animal Crossing where u can easily play for just a few minutes at a time between classes, during breaks at work, on public transportation, while waiting in line, etc. and perhaps u enjoy playing more epic, visually demanding games that require longer play sessions like Zelda or Xenoblade at home on ur big screen HDTV. Someone like that may buy both.

Maybe ur a family person and get a couple of the portable versions for ur kids and the console version for at home so u can all play together.

I assume that you could play together without getting the console version.. just link the handheld fusion together.

But, I want to avoid an argument about this so I won't elaborate on why I think it would sell less.
