I am well aware of the sales, and the sales are better than last year. They arent losing money on the WiiU any more, they wont rush a new product. I believe they will reveal the console at next years E3 and have it ready by 2017. At least two years doesnt mean they will release it in 2016 and I will gladly make a bet about it ;)

Nintendo can't survive with those sales. And no, sales are not better. You should look the earnings reports. Last quarter, better than the current one, showed a pronunced decline on the 3DS hw sales while the Wii U bump was not as good as expected. They can't even meet the forecast of 3.6M. The forecasted for this FY a similar number.

In which universe a 3.6M forecast is for a console is good? And why would they want to keep investing in something like that until 2017? What kind of Nintendo fan will want their pain to continue 2 more years?

Yes they can, Nintendo managed to make $300m profit in 2014. With same bussines model like in 2014. they can easily make similar profit in 2015. and 2016. evan with worse console sale than in 2014. (now they have Amiibo and they will have smartphone games).

I too belive that NX is 2017. thing, worst thing that Nintendo can do is to rush new console and make similar Wii U mistakes. Except that, Nintendo never revealed and launch console in same year.

Nintendo made a small profit this year after 4 years of operating losses  (about $1billion+ combined)  - They made a profit this year due to cutting cost over the last 4 years not due to increases in revenue-  their annual revenue have dropped over the last 4 years  along with expenes-   So they don t beleive in the wiiu or they would have increased their investmetn in it (via games marketing etc)  but they have done the opposit-  The Wii U is not making money - no one  at Nintendo has indicated they are to date-     It will be difficult for them to make a profit this year - either way it would be a small one if they do-and their revenues will probably fall again -   

The fact they have not been investing much in their future makes me very curious/concerned as to what they have in mind re next generation-
