I haven't played Shin Megami Tensei IV yet, but if a game proves too hard, I'll just lower the difficulty or check a guide online. There's absolutely no shame in doing that. Who the Hell am I trying to prove completing a game in a harder difficulty?
I'd rather just have an enjoyable experience than a frustrating one (note: I get people have a kick off a challenge, personally I just don't).
