I don't think you took it that way, but just in case, my post wasn't an attack on you, just stating that I thought what he did was stupid in the first place, which doesn't warrant their replies anyway, buttt it's not as if their posts were out of the blue.
And agreed (again) with your new post, lack of respect is disturbing, but that's the way the internet is at times.
