I know two friends who've triple dipped lol, I'll admit last gen I triple dipped on C&C Red Alert 3 since I bought the PS3 version first because it had higher visuals (borrowed PC's water/unit FX) and came with built in soundtrack/unit tutorials, 360 version after my PS3 died and I had more friends by then and finally PC version when I had a decent rig to handle it all for modding/maps, really I had 3 different reasons and I'd assume this was the case for GTA V (current gen had extra vehicles and races I believe, PC had video editor and radio channels+graphical changes).

I'm thinking at least 75m, maybe 80 or slightly above by gens end.

lol sometimes ours friends dictate our purchases.  I also double dipped.  I have the ps3 version to play with friends and the ps4 version because I wanted to experience the FPS mode.  I'm sure some will have similar experiences.
