See people are entitled to their opinion, but they must say it in a responsible matter that will hurt the person the opinion is targeted to in the smallest manner. Especially when this person is a teenager, where the emotional part of them is the most unstable, and the smallest things could lead to low self-esteem or even to damaging themselves/suicide. When you have multiple people telling you that you are an ugly-ass bitch, sea cow, or beastly you aren't going to feel to happy. Yes there is alot worse things, but how do you know this person was exposed to them. Different people take things the wrong way. It seems to me that despite you people being far older than me, you know less on how to handle this certain situation. I just have one more question to ask you. Let's say this girl took all of these posts to the highest offense, and let's say this girl has been exposed to other similar situations, all this could put her to the edge and she may feel suicidal. Now if you knew that you were the person who pushed her over the edge. How would you feel? That is my question. So next time a situation that refers to somebody on a personal level comes to the point that you are going to make a negative remark on that person , please say it in the kindest way possible that won't cause conflict.

I think you are taking it WAY TOO SERIOUSLY... this is internet, if you can't learn to chill out a little, it's no point. What the OP was trying to do is 1... showing off his "self claimed HOT" girlfriend. 2... being his shallow self, both deserve the treatment he got.

Also, he knew what he was getting himself into the second he posted this thread.

And mostly, I'm very glad the racial jokes aren't here. Very proud of you all, VGC members. Please, stick with sea cow type comments. :)

I know it's the internet, but I wasn't talking from my perspective. I have been exposed to the internet for a few years now and know how it is. You don't know if this is the case for the girl though. She may take your posts seriously , and you always must think of it that way unless you know otherwise. Most of the people my age would take this seriously btw.

My girlfriend would've beaten me silly if I open a thread in an open forum asking for other guys (who I don't even know) opinion whether she's pretty or not.

After all, it's all "perspective", if she's offended, it was ONLY because she was expecting compliments to boost her own ego, and got shot down.

And frankly, I don't believe she was there with him, no girl is that shallow

You don't know if trying to boost her ego was the reason though. Maybe she was trying to be reasured after a previous incidence similar to this one , but by a peer in real life. Now it was most likely ego boosting if she was there , but  like I said before you can't assume things.

nothing boost egos more than going to the internet for opinions.
