When I played it as a kid, I remember loving it at first, but getting worn down by the end. Perhaps it's because I came in with lowered expectations, or maybe it's just because I miss 3D platformers, but I enjoyed it a lot more this time around and I'm two battle crowns away from 101%. The game is a bit overly ambitions, there are some ideas that should have been left on the table, and there are some weird control quirks. It doesn't reach the bar set by Mario 64 or Banjo Kaooie (better than tooie though) but it's still one of the better 3D platformers, and if you like collecting stuff, it's one of the best.
