| The Fury said: What is CG like graphical fidelity? Is it CG from films? Who on earth really thinks that PS4 and Xbone can achieve gameplay graphics like a CG film?... ...wait, do they mean a CG films from the 90s? |
No one was saying the PS4 and X1. People in general want video games to look like a CG pre-rendered character. That can do all that in realtime. Basically, everyone wants Avengers Hulk to be their main characters detail quality. And enviroments. Which is a lot to ask for. Since Hulk is made as a real human. Internal bone/muscle system. Acurate cloth physics. Skin deformation, the works. A game character doesn't do this. You can't flex a muscle under the skin, the skin won't stretch, veins won't pop out. The mesh just bends. And doesn't care if a bicep clips into the arm. Think of the characters with coats in Deus EX. The colars all magically bend and follow the neck. As they move around in cutscenes. That isn't life like.
