I expect it will outsell both. But that isn't saying much. Sunset Overdrive will struggle to make it to 1 million, and The Order won't get much past 1 million.

Actually it is saying much, because a good amount of people think it'll sell anywhere between 300k-800k lifetime :P

Including me. I was sceptical as to whether the Nintendo install base would support a new IP, but this game seems to be in the sweetspot for Nintendo when it is in an hardware low-selling mode. So it should do better than I first thought. And this is an important distinction between The Order and SO. The Order should be in a PS sweet spot, but it's only a mediocre game (it's not a bad game, IMO) and mediocre games get mediocre sales even when they are in the right genre for the platform. SO is a very good game (according to metacritic and most people I've read online who've played it), but it isn;t in an Xbox sweetspot. So it's really only going to sell niche amounts even though it was given the mainstream treatment by MS (having it's own special white bundle).

Splatoon is getting the bundle, it's the right sort of game for the console, and it sounds like it's a pretty good and fun game. Of course with those credentials it should be expected to sell ~3 million. The fact there is discussion about whether it will outsell 2 games that might LTD at or below 1 million is kinda depressing. The PS4bone benchmark games for this should be KZ:SF or Infamous Second Son, and Forza 5, if people are confident in the credientials of this game.
