The hardcore fans (over 16,000) are already paying £30 ($47) or way more to get the soundtrack or other minor stuff or to show more support.

You really don't get how kickstarter works, do you?

What a ridiculous comment, so the fans that dont pay enough for the soundtrack aren't hardcore fans, dude what? EVERYONE who pledged is a core fan. If you're into gamer culture that deep to have known about this KS and pledged, you're a hardcore fan.

Less ridiculous than thinking that every supporter of this kickstarter project is a banjo hardcore fan. Many kickstarter supporters of other projects look up popular new projects... if they like the pitch video and aren't against platformer games, they support it with a few bucks; for these people a low entry pledge tier is important.

And many gamers who play platformer games now and then, but aren't especially hardcore fans of that genre, will support that game for £10 or £15 but would perhaps wait and see if a much higher entry pledge were the minimum for the game. You don't have to be THAT deep in gamer culture to have known about this KS, many news sites, where video games are only a part, have reported about that project.

Even if you are a fan of Banjo Kazooie / Tooie you can have doubts to pay higher sums in advance. Banjo fans have been burnt before with Nuts'n'Bolts and there is no guarantee that the end product will be a great game. A low entry pledge tier sweetens the deal and reduces the risk of wasting money... £10 or £15 hurt less than wasted £30 or more.

My friend is only in for 15 quid, according to you he's a "casual" but I bet he has beaten the Banjo games more than you.

I really doubt that (Banjo Kazooie and Tooie were my favorite N64 gams and day 1 purchases in 1998 and 2001, but think what you want.
