Nintendo and the developers who have pushed the system have done so with great art styles and vibrant colors. Obviously the U cannot compete on a purely technical basis, so they continue to find creative ways to make their games look stunning.
For me personally, I've always enjoyed a great art style over purely technical impressive looking games. So games like Child of Light, Ori & the Blind Forest, Mario Kart 8, and Bayonetta 2 reign supreme for my eyeballs.
