Maybe because its actually starting to focus on gamers and offering a good price. Maybe because they ditched their arrogant attitude and are trying to regain consumer trust. Maybe because Sony has recently laid back, and Microsoft is doing their best to seize the opportunity.

MS is just doing what they know they have to so they (Maybe?) make money.  If they really cared they would have dropped DRM and all of that stuff within a weak of the backlash.  Instead they fought tooth and nail until Gamestop threatened to not carry their console.  They were forced, nothing more or less.

As for Sony being "Laid Back" I really don't see any evidence of this.  They have more games, and more highly rated games on the PS4 than the X1 has.  Which brings me to my main point:

 

If you want Sony to try harder, it will require Xbox to finally bring some real competition. Kennedy said "Do not pray for easier lives.  Pray to be stronger men."  I am not gonna pray that Xbox does better "So it's nice," I am going to pray that they actually bring some competition so as to justify getting better sales - and therefor forcing Sony to bring their A - Game.
