There's also the fact that PS4 is reaching a saturation point at the current price. The number of people who are willing to buy PS4 at $399 and haven't yet bought PS4 is decreasing. It will not be able to sustain market leading sales in the USA without a price cut soon. Sony says its focus is mainly in increasing install base, and that suggests price cut sooner than later. I would like to see a cut to $329. It would have a much bigger effect than a $50 cut, and it would also allow PS4 to cut 2 years running with putting the price down to $299 in 2016. And it gives Sony room to do special deals for Black Friday and the holidays. |
Batman PS4 bundle was availble for less than 2 weeks in March and only a few days in April. It still managed to make into amazon's top 100 for both months. It hasn't been available for pre-order, on Amazon any way, for the month May. I think PS4 will take every month from May to September at least.
