I must admit it's frightening to know that both console manufacturers (even Sony) have the ability to brick consoles due to a violation on a contract. But one has to assume this will be only done in extreme cases when a harsh punishment should be dealt.
I'm glad those leakers got their consoles bricked. Breaking an NDA is not only illegal, but also unethical. They can't leave stuff up to surprise, noo... they have to leak stuff so people over-analyze it and downplay it to death. A well deserved punishment, I say.
