I agree.  Really bad decision for a shooter.  I usually turn my chat off, but im usually in a party at least.  THing is, Splatoon isnt the first kid friendly shooter this generation as some people are acting.  Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare was and it was excellent. Nintendo needs to learn to step out of their boundary sometimes and that will include going for the older crowd as well.  Voice chat is absolutely necessary in 2015
