As said before...most of the users around here who speak english as their first language make more mistakes than the average non-native speaker around here. Just know taht the title shoudl have said "Why did you buy a wii?" instead of what you had. Basically the "did" makes the sentence past tense...the main verb in the sentence doesn't need to change.
This is true with all helping verbs... did, would, could, should. They carry the tense markers.

Thanks,by the way I already knew that did change the whole sentence to the past. I guess I didn't proofread my title. That's why I made the mistake. The other time the same think happened to me with another thread,I also think there must be a edit option for the title.
