Why should people have to jump through hoops in order to use a feature that's been a staple for multiplayer games since 2001? I can voice chat with people on Pokemon games for Christ's sake. 

You said games without voice chat have no community and no legs. I gave you plenty of examples and alternative methods of communicating.
