Portal 1 and 2 had amazing scores because the game was fresh, polish, fun and with a hevy innovative concept. They are 5 and 7 hours long. 90 and 95 on meta.

Titanfall's review with the most views (basically more than all the other reviews put together) shits on the game for lack of content.  The game's price quickly plummeted to $20 to keep sales going because it got that stigma of not having enough content and people got bored of it quick, Nintendo isn't dropping the price of of their games to $20 (hell I'd be surprised if Splatoon gets a price drop at all) so its legs are gonna be cut if it gets that stigma.

But is not going to have that stigma, because the game is extremely good, feels extremely fresh, is not going to get boring soon because it feels like something new, it has a single campaign and the new stuff is coming very soon for free, and everybody interested knows what is coming, when is coming and for what price (0$).
