So, after hearing about Gears of War collection and Capcom being interested in more HD remasters, I got curious about the subject once again. People complain that this gen is full of games people already played, and that could take the spotlight away from new and innovative titles; how this gen could become too forgetible because the apparent lack of new games...

I would like to make a list with most AAA games released in each 8th gen console (including handheld if I have the time), so we can actually see the proportion of new games compared with remasters and crossgens out there, and see if it's actually as bad as people think.

To limit the numbers a bit, only games that have (or had at some point) retail releases count. I'll try to avoid shovelware too, but the term can be discussed. Only games already released.

I'll try to update the list monthly. If I have made a mistake, pease point it out.

So make this list more clear, I'll divide the option into three possibilities:

-Remaster: A videogame that consist in an old title enhanced in some way.

-Crossgame: A game that is not a remaster, that will release both in current gen and last gen AT THE SAME TIME. If a game releases only in last gen first, and after some time it releases in current gen, that last game will count as a remaster (example: Battlefield 4 is crossgen because it released in 7th and 8th gen at the same time. GTA V is a remaster, because the game was released on current gen after).

-8th gen original: A game that is not a remaster, that will only release into current gen consoles.

If you have something to discuss about these definitions, I'll gladly listen to them.

The  ¿? ones is becasue I don't know enough about the game to classify it. If you know it, please tell me.

You know it deserves the GOTY.
