Sure, anything is possible, but in this case it's very unlikely. IF we have another generation of standard consoles, it would be really difficult for Microsoft to "win", simply because their brand is too weak outside USA and UK, their strategy of moneyhatting third party games without relying on first party is wrong and their recent focus on PC games is devaluing Xbox One (thus creating a bad perception for the next console).
You can have all the money in the world, but if can't manage them it's like not having them.
