Normally I would completely agree with you, but Nintendo was fairly close with their 3.6 million unit prediction in FY 2015. They are also severely scaling back their predictions for the 3DS in 2016 (only 7.6M). It just kind of makes me hopeful that Nintendo might have some actual rationale behind this 3.4 million prediction. That said, you could be right as it would take an awful lot for the Wii U to meet this forecast (even MK8 and Smash couldn't quite hit 3.4 million and that was before a lot of core Nintendo fans owned the console).
