I truthfully I suspect it is a money issue. I think either NoA doesn't get the advertising budget they had back in the 90s or its the exact same amount without taking into account rising costs and inflation. But I agree even with limited budget, the near pathetic commerical and advertsing they do for their non-Big 3 (Mario, Pokemon and Zelda) has been pathetic with the few rare exceptions.
