Uh, it's F**king typical of this country. We are obsessed with "News of the world" and "heat magazine". I'm not surprised though, we are a nation of drug using idiots.
At the sainsburys where I used to work we used to get heroin users in all the time (Their was a squat of heroin users about 30 seconds walk away) asking if we could swap £10 of coppers into a £10 note because their dealer doesn't accept change. Although they always came up with other excuses. We just ended up creating a policy where we had turn them away to the bank.
The other half of the customers couldn't even speak English, or what I would call cohearant English anyway. England truly is a country of idiots. I am not surprised by this at all.
