Not just them though, it would also be good for Sega and Football Manager, which in turn is good for me

I thought competition is always good, though , especially when we are talking about about a company which bought all the rights to making American Football Games. This for EA is the peefect situation where their competitor has now bailed out of the race.

 

Also I highly doubt PES or FIFA are in any direct competition with Football manager. They are practically different games.
