Sonic Colors did well on the Wii yes.

We both know why Sonic Lost World and Sonic Boom failed.

And Project Spark is also quite the bad game. That framerate alone...

And Knack actually did sell a lot for such a bad game. The difficulty in that game felt unfair a lot of the times and the combat is shallow. In fact Knack isn't a platformer, but a beat 'em up game. Thanks for proving my point that people automatically call any cartoony looking game a platformer.

Sonic Generations did even better, which shows there is still an audience for good Sonic games outside of Nintendo platforms.

I'm sure Project Spark runs fine on PC with a solid video card. The X1 version doesn't run great but certainly playable. Anyhow, that doesn't reflect the gameplay. I hear people are actually enjoying Conker on Project Spark.

Knack is considered a 3D platformer and beat em'm up. I'd say the same thing about God of War.

Basically, an old school 3D platformer isn't necessarily what people want even if Yooka Laylee is a success. That game is running on hype. People don't really want something that feels like an N64 era platformer, those games don't hold up well.
