gta V came out the week before so it barely had any media attention outside of some reviews.

I think you need to read my post again, I said Skylanders was bundled with Nintendo's consoles not Rayman.  Anyway Rayman was more closely associated with Nintendo with its recent Wii exclusives compared to PS, with it appearing on the Playstation 20 years ago.  Hell wasn't there even a Rayman game on N64?
