I thought the same thing until I bought a Wii U and lived with it for a week. Now, it's my favorite part of the console. Makes the PS4 feel antiquated by comparison - no joke!

I've gamed more ON the gamepad than the TV lol. It's my favorite controller ever, I don't understand the hate. It's super handy to play VC games, browse the ESHOP and their internet browser.

Plus you don't see a lot of jaggies on the gamepad. :p

And the closer I am to the screen, the better I can control the game.

I hope the gamepad will work on their next console as optional controller.
