Is Yooka Laylee Proving Publishers Should Have Faith in 3D Platformers?

I love this kind of game, but I fully accept there is NO reason for a major publisher to take on this kind of project. The audience is very limited.

The Kickstarter being a success on its own terms doesn't change anything. The only campaign that should make publishers think differently is Star Citizen.
