That's why in the beginning quality was higher because these games were also released on ps2/xbox. By providing an uncapable system it's Nintendo themselves that alienated any serious third party support that was left after Gamecube.

I never understood that argument when developers (EA, Activision, THQ, Konami, etc.) were more than happy to continue porting games to PS2 through 2010.  If it's not a hassle to "redesign" a game and port it to PS2, why would it be a waste of time port to "an overclocked Gamecube" when the latter of the 2 is the one with the current consumer base?
