Don't think I've seen anybody say wii doesn't move software. People say, and I agree, that wii doesn't move 3rd party software.
Of course there are exceptions but on the whole 3rd party games sold poorly. This led to 3rd parties abandoning the wii later on.
If games were a poorer experience on the wii, blame the hardware, not the budget.
As time went on, third parties released games on the wii that suited the audience. Mostly party and dance games.
There are hardcore gamers on the wii but it's huge success was down to beinbeing a family friendly console, and that's how eventually it got supported.
