Yup. I got it quite some time ago for 20 bucks. Played it for 10 or 15 minutes, said "huh" and put it back on the shelf. Well I finally gave it another chance and you know what, I'm fairly hooked.
The puzzles are fairly smart, the physics are great, the elebits are cute, the godawful story and voicework are kept to a minimum and the gameplay is frantic yet controlled.
Oh sure there are some problems. Doors are a pain in the ass of epic proportions. I'm reminded of the scene in Police Academy where the girl kicks the door open, only to have it slam back in her face. Doors arbitrarily close on you after just a couple seconds, turning the door knob turning mechanic from an occasional and novel practice to a constant hell. Also, the IR is definitely from an earlier point in the Wii's dev cycle. It just feels a tad over responsive.
But really, the game is just fun. I love the way the levels slowly light up the more Elebits you catch. I'm quite intrigued for the sequel.
I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.
