Nope. PS4 saw huge demand in Q1 2014 after a very action packed Holiday 2013. If you remember there were plenty of stock issues for PS4 at this time and we also saw the Japan launch in Feb as well. So 3 million was Sony shipping every PS4 they could build (basically 1m a month). 

This year the demand isn't so high, but the PS4 is in more markets then it was before. We know that 1.4m is in channel and 1.7m was sold through first two months of the year. I think Sony would want to normalise at around ~1m in channel and so it looks like we could see shipments of over 2.2m. Certainly less than 3m. 

personally I was thinking around 2.8m myself . That may be a tad too high though.
