And yet, it does, since investment per title is much greater now than in previous generations. |
Cool and all, but this has nothing to do with the discussed issue
The elephant you described doesn't exist the way you put it. Simple.
PC was put on the backburner when piracy on consoles was easily available and it started its resurgence in that state of the market as well. The fact that secure (thus far) consoles were recently released hasn't changed a single thing thus far for the discussed issue. Has the situation of PC gamers deteriorated once this gen started? No. One could say it's even getting better, as this gen it has become obvious that the PC version of a game will be by far the ultimate version (GTA5, The Witcher 3, Project CARS, etc.) and the console port won't even come close. So it is not an issue and not the reason for the current situation
To put it simple, this feat alone means nothing for this situation, so it can't be called "the elephant". Especially, since I believe that PC market is going to grow and console market is bound to shrink even if consoles remain secure, which will easily eat into whatever can possibly be gained due to consoles being secure.
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/
My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.
