Stop whining about this anti-Wii week.

PS3 fans have had an anti-PS3 year or two. Grow some thicker skin.

Well the PS3 is doing pretty badly, definitely much worse than anyone was expecting, and I'm not even going to start with Sony's legendary PR bloopers. Any news coverage is going to be "anti-PS3" from a fan's perspective.

The case here, on the other hand, is that NY Times published a single article that might have used VGC data, but completely misread it, and did some truly horrifying errors in logic. The following week seems to consist of the entire internet gleefully chanting "I told you so!" in a feeble attempt to make it real.

How the heck do you not get angry at that?

It's easy to not get angry.

If it's not true, the get over it, grow some thicker skin, and move on.

Don't call it 'Anti-Wii week' or anything like that.

There are some pretty horrifying errors in logic for articles on the PS3 too.  I could link you to one or two, but a google search should bring up oodles.

The fact of the matter is that there is bad news for every console, exaggerated, untrue, and truthful, but if it's exaggerated or fake, why give it any airtime?  If you know it's false, then don't talk about it and move on.
