Sony getting BO3 and Battlefront marketing deals and bundles will definitely give PS4 an edge this holiday, plus I sincerely doubt Sony's just gonna go through the rest of the year without at 1 or 2 more big AAA titles. E3 will tell all.

I'm pretty sure Sony also has the Mad Max marketing deal which comes out in September, that's looking very nice now as well. Maybe Metal Gear is a Sony thing too, that's a lot of weight for Halo, Forza and Tomb Raider to go up against, especially given everything else Sony has.

The difference is that all those multiplatform AAA titles like Metal Gear Solid V are coming out at the same time on Xbox One.

Sony likely has at least Ratchet & Clank, Fat Princess Adventures and Disgaea 5 as outright AAA retail exclusives so far for Q4.

None of those titles are AAA...

Then there's a bunch of other stuff too like the F2P games Deep Down, Let it Die, Drawn 2 Death.

If those kinds of games moved a lot of systems the Vita would be selling like hot cakes.

Given how GT6 was handled it's possible Sony may do a full reveal of GT7 next month and release that in the holidays this year as well, probably leaving at least one spot at E3 for another title.

Thinking they're going to reveal GT7 and release it before X'mas just seems like wishful thinking.

Let's face it Sony's developers have been busy and quiet for a pretty long time now.

We know Bend, Media Molecule & Guerrilla Games are all working on something, I'd probably rule out Media Molecule because they have a game coming out this year with Tearaway Unfolded, so their new IP may be held back to show at Gamescom or PSX and released next year.

Guerrilla's Horizon could be the big gun for the Holidays, it's been in development for over 4 years, is very unique and we all know how Sony likes to be different to the competition.

Didn't Guerrilla have most of its staff working on the last Killzone game?  They're probably only halfway through development of Horizon.

The software Sony already has lined up for 2015, but that is lacking release dates is all very different from the 3rd party stuff coming. Sony has a big volume of games, which could hold more weight than the few titles Microsoft has prepped already for Q4.

Sounds like list wars stuff where you put in a bunch of niche games that will be lucky to even chart in the top 10 to pad a list.

There's also the likes of Persona 5 as a cross gen release, with so many other games that are next gen exclusives anything that could come to last gen will probably just help to reinforce Sony's position this Holiday. They also have Bloodborne, The Order, Tearaway Unfolded, Until Dawn, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture and anything else that came out in Q1, 2 & 3, which can be bundled with PS4 for the holidays.

The fact Personal 5 is going to be on 3 different systems will probably impact it being a PS4 system seller.  As for the others they will help in sales for sure but the same can be said of the Xbox One's existing library.

I doubt Sony will go through E3 or Gamescom without pushing a couple of big AAA exclusives. There's also the possibility that they've backed some 3rd party AAA new IP and also the likes of Level 5 or Quantic Dream could have something ready this year.

The conferences should be very interesting this year!
