From my experience--and I'm definitely not an expert--suicide notes are never elaborate. They usually say something like "I'm sorry", " I love you all ", " forgive me " or something. Plus, they're written on the first thing the victim can get their hands on.

He probably wants someone to intervene. Nobody wants their suicide note to be found before they die unless they aren't sure they want to go through with it.

Again, based only on experience.

that makes sense. his parents, myself, and marty have all tried getting a hold of him since. his phone is also on. i think that is a good sign. he wants someone to intervene, but he still is ignoring us.

Don't call. Don't text. Go see him directly. Force him to comfront you. Don't wait for him to do it since he's probably lost in a downward spiral of negative thoughts about how he hates himself, etc... which prevents himself from finding the courage to confront the situation.

So go see him directly, force him to see face to face how you don't hate him even if his actions were despicable, and that you just want to help him get better and love life, etc...

Don't let him isolate himself.
