PT announced a game and as i understand it doesn't even play like the final product which is in 3rd person not 1st person.  

And I'm not sure if Konami ever refered to PT as a 'demo'.

 

Interactive trailer sounds catchy for PR, but it doesn't bode well with me either.

The reason behind the name and why they don't refer to it as a demo is because this "playable teaser" is hope the game was announced. Honestly, this was the most surreal game announcement I've ever seen, too. "Let's make them shit their pants to find out what game this is."
