I truly am baffled at the popularity of Samsung phones. I have owned I think 6 different models from about 2004 to 2012, and every single model had massive glitches and inexcusable issues. So Samsung's popularity actually irritates me lol.

If they each had inexcusable issues, why did you keep buying them 6 times over 8 years?

I had actually told myself I was done with Samsung. For several years I had other phones. Then smart/touch screen phones became ubiquitous. I went with a Sony for my first major smartphone, but it was outdated when I bought it, and I ended up needing something quicker to use as a research tool on my medical rotations. It had been several years since I bought a Samsung. Their flagship phone in 2011 looked nice with great specs, and their phones were crazy popular, so it seemed to me like they had come a long way and had likely resolved their issue of creating poor hardware. So I decided to give Samsung another chance.

Within months I couldn't stand the phone bc of all the glitches and the often counter-intuitive functionality. I had it for 6-9 months before I lost it. I was still on my medical rotations in school and had no money to buy another good phone. I had recently convinced my brother to switch from Apple to Samsung. He bought a newer Samsung compared to the Samsung I lost. He hated it, and subsequently went back to iPhone a few months later. So when I lost my Samsung, he gave me his newer Samsung phone for free. It had all the same exact glitches my older Samsung had, and even managed to get rid of some of the few features of the older phone I actually liked.

I had my brothers Samsung then until January 2014, and I hated it even more than my other one. I got my first Apple phone at that time. Have had it for 16mos now and have never been happier with a phone. The quality difference between it and every single Samsung phone I've owned is night and day.
