Did Xbox One peak in its first year?

No, GC have sold around 2,000,000 in 2002.

If you look the US sales, GC is increase by a very strong +50% in 2003, and even in Japan the sales are rise by a small margin.

GC couldn't have sold only 2m in 2002. You mean 2001? (launch year) or perhaps in some region only?

But OK, I guess sales increased in the US and stayed flat in Japan. We don't know WW though.

As per fiscal years, these are the shipped figures:

3.8m (launch)

5.76m (full year)

5.02m

Then it's all down. Fiscal years don't align perfectly with calendar years, so I guess it's possible it had a very slight increase overall.

I'll give your data the benefit of the doubt, though I don't think it's guaranteed. ;)
