Hopefully it's fake. If not then they basically stopped them from working on a new IP to create a remaster of Gears rather than a new entry.
Edit- Noticed it says "other gears projects". Hopefully that is a new entry and not Gears 2 and then 3, unless they reimagine them. I loved Gears but hated Gears 2, which lead me to not care at all for 3.
