I can only imagine the possibilities with mods on this title! I'll be getting it when it goes down in price a fair bit; I already paid full price once on the PS3 on release day and I'll need a better rig at any rate to run this on ultra settings. I tried it one day at work, FPS mode is awesome and lends a whole new feel to the game, and the somewhat clunky shooting mechanics are tossed in favor of more direct input control, which feels great.

Yeah, mods will be great but what from what I heard Rockstar did a lot to not let modders alter their files. Well, I guess time will tell :)

I think Rockstar might be more forthcoming after a while, especially since the sales are decent for a game releasing this late on the last platform. Developers and publishers need to realize that the modding community is a huge selling point for PC titles, doubly so for open-world titles where the possibilities are virtually (pun intended) endless. Games like Skyrim and Gothic 3, for instance, have their value instantly doubled and more due to fantastic mods and Civilization IV had a mod that is widely regarded to be better than the core product (Fall From Heaven II).

If I were to list the greatest parts about PC gaming; modding would come very far up on the list, besides added entertainment value, there are also UI fixes and community patches and take care of actual issues such as bugs and crashes (Skyrim is a good example here, the standard UI is worthless).
