Does the digital version of Pandora's Tower work with the Pro Controller?

All Wii games that supported the Wii Classic Controller should be playable with the Wii U Pro Controller. Surely, it shouldn't be that difficult an option for Nintendo to implement.

But, for some reason... They just won't.
