Child custody laws favouring women have nothing to do with affirmative action, they're the result of traditional gender roles that view women as the natural carers.

Affirmitive action was referring to civli rights. What I'm saying is that all rights movements warp in to inequality in favor of whoever is pushing for equality.

Also being assaulted is illegal whoever you are under the law. We dont need special rights ro protect against particular kinds of assault. 

"It might turn into affirmative action" is hardly justification for leaving inequality unchallenged.

And the latter wasn't in reference to rights, it was in reference to the fact that marriage is not the only area where gays suffer discrimination.
