6th gen - games look great yet simple and clean allowing you to concentrate on the gameplay. I remember in mid to late 2000 modern games had started having too much detail distracting me from actually playing them. I still don't like how in triple A games usually every square meter is filled with junk.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.
