I certainly don't expect a huge evolution like we saw in Gen 7, but I think certain things will see improvements. 

I mean, just look at Wii U. The change from New Super Mario Bros. U to Mario Kart 8 and Bayonetta 2 to games like Xenoblade Chronicles X and Yoshi's Woolly World is insane. I don't think the XBO and PS4 will see such a dramatic growth as that (due to them already being so powerful and the developers being used to HD development) but it should at least get slightly better.

Don't get me wrong; there will be improvement, of course. There already has been. As you say though, I just don't think it will be as dramatic as last gen.
