Alot of mislead fanboys. PS3 didnt catch the 360, the 360 slowed down where as Sony kept support. 360 was outselling the PS3 for most of last generation and took until the unsupported 360 in its last couple years to lose its lead.

In other words the PS3 didn't catch the 360 via brand name, it caught up based off other reasons. If MS continued supporting the 360 then the 360 would still be in front. Also take to account the PS3 had a built in Blu Ray player so it appealed to more markets then the 360 which was only gaming. My friend brought 4 PS3s for Blu Ray movies while only one was used just for games. Still today I believe the 360s customers use there consoles more for gaming then most PS3 users.

The brand is only as strong as the marketing which both Nintendo and MS market strong in only afew countries unlike Sony who use aggressive marketing tactics to sell the PS4.

Actually your first sentence is incorrect the PS3 actually outsold the 360 for most of last generation. The two WOULD NOT be this close other wise. Matter of fact if I am not mistaken launch aligned the PS3 outsold the 360 every year except maybe one I think. You say "a lot of mislead fanboys" but then give incorrect information which makes it seem like the pot is calling the kettle black....just my thoughts on your post.

OT:

Yeah I think the PS brand is stronger than the XB brand.
