While Android and iOS have become very big in this regard, the market has shown serious signs of slowdown.

If Nintendo and Sony ( I hope) release new handhelds with a heavy marketing push, release a platter of 1st and 2nd Party games along side it, they would be able to keep the handheld market afloat.

Slowdown or not ios / android have the biggest pie in the gaming on the go. They even managed to pull nintendo where everyone failed. Plus next Nintendo handheld will probablt be the last as Sony wont release another handheld system.
